Director of Impact, Astanor
Leslie Kapin
Top 50 Farmers is an acceleration platform paving the way for regenerative agriculture to be scaled from soil to gut. We identify the farmers who are role modeling what the future of farming looks like and share their stories. We also connect them with industry executives and pioneering thought leaders to unlock new opportunities across the value chain.
Leslie is the Director of Impact at Astanor Ventures, a B Corp certified company. A global venture firm with €800 million assets under management, Astanor backs ambitious entrepreneurs with disruptive, scalable solutions that will create systemic change across the agrifood value chain, from soil to gut.
Leslie joined the firm in 2019 with the mission to set up the firm’s impact management approach. She plays a pivotal role in driving positive change and promoting sustainability internally and externally by leading advanced measurement methodologies and engaging with industry networks, research institutions, and thought leaders to advance impact investing.
She firmly believes that the agrifood sector holds the key to tackling climate change, biodiversity loss, and human health and is passionate about how a partnership between nature and tech can reconnect what’s been broken across the food system working with, not against, biodiversity.
Leslie has more than 13 years of experience in global asset management within the private and public sectors in London, Paris, Sydney, and Basel.
Leslie holds a Masters in Asset Management from Université Paris Dauphine and is a CFA charterholder.
