Top 50 Farmers recognizes that to scale the regenerative movement and attract a new generation of farmers, collaboration and new tools are necessary. This includes industry support that creates market pull and new financing solutions.  Top 50 Farmers is a platform for bringing these actors together to unlock new opportunities and collaborations to scale regenerative agriculture and healthy soils. We do this by identifying regenerative farmers to serve as role models, championing their stories, and connecting them to networks, and an acceleration tool kit to amplify their work. A global initiative, the first edition of Top 50 Farmers is focused on identifying role models and building regenerative networks across Europe.

In the countryside of Denmark, chefs, thought leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, executives, and farmers gathered for an intimate discussion on how to to scale regenerative agriculture in Europe and beyond.  The group unanimously agreed that like chefs have built strong personal brands that diversify their revenue streams, amplify their platform, and attract a new generation to enter the profession, farming needs a similar renaissance.  Diverse role models are needed that demonstrate how farming can be good business for people and the planet. These role models need to represent the next generation showing diversity in gender, representation, and lifestyle. They need to show how farming is sexy and can be a great livelihood.  From this, Top 50 Farmers was born. With the goal of creating new opportunities for farmers to transition to regenerative agriculture practices, Top 50 Farmers is led by a consortium of passionate partners who have spent decades working across the value chain to support the regenerative transition.

FARMERS FIRST: All actions we take are in service of the farmer to create new opportunities and facilitate the transition to regenerative organic agriculture.  REGENERATION We aim for the highest standard of regeneration both when it comes to future farming and the actions we take.Details matter and we walk the talk by sourcing regeneratively and working with partners who share our vision and values. We approach the planning and design with patience and ambition to ensure that our choices have a positive impact in the long run. COLLABORATION Top 50 Farmers recognizes that no one person or organization can shift the food system. We are all in this together and we must work together to create change. For this reason, we partner whenever possible and honor all farmers who are working towards a regenerative organic future.  DIVERSITY We are stronger when we embrace our differences. Top 50 Farmers prioritizes diversity in gender, age and regions across committees and selected farmers to ensure multiple perspectives and understandings.
