The people behind Top 50 Farmers
Top 50 Farmers is built by a small, international team, together with our Board of Directors, advisors, Selection Committee and a wider network of collaborators.
We bring together experience across farming, community building, communications, design and partnerships to strengthen the relationships, visibility and opportunities around pioneering farmers across Europe.
Team
Our team works across countries and disciplines to develop and deliver Top 50 Farmers - from the annual selection and accelerator to our community, gatherings, communications and partnerships.
Board of Directors
Top 50 Farmers was launched by Foodprint Europe in 2024 and operates as an initiative of the Danish non-profit organisation. Formal governance sits with Foodprint Europe’s Board of Directors, which provides strategic oversight and ensures that the organisation and its work remain aligned with its purpose and long-term direction.
Selection Committee
Each year, a voluntary Selection Committee reviews applications from farmers across Europe and helps select the next Top 50 Farmers cohort.
The committee brings together people with diverse perspectives, experience and knowledge who volunteer their time to contribute to a thoughtful and balanced selection process. Members are selected each year and share a commitment to the values and purpose of Top 50 Farmers.
Selection Committee
This volunteer committee is made up of farmers, agronomists, procurement officers, and scientists who work to advance regenerative agriculture daily and have a deep knowledge of the space. The Selection Committee is ultimately responsible for selecting the fifty farmers that are invited to the bi-annual Award Ceremony.
