What was your journey into regenerative agriculture?
Growing up in a rural school environment, nature and agriculture were my earliest educators, deeply embedding in me a respect for the natural world. As my career in design progressed, often intertwined with technology and innovation, I found myself drifting from these roots.
However, my work has always been geared towards returning to nature, not just as a return, but as a progression. Today, I see an opportunity to contribute to a vision of agriculture that aligns more closely with how it perhaps should have always been— regenerative and in harmony with nature.
What are you passionate about?
Throughout my career, I've navigated numerous projects where impact often overshadowed functionality. This has steered me towards a relentless pursuit of what is essential and sustainable much like the principles of minimalism in design. In relation to the food system, I believe that we don't need to add more to our practices, but rather eliminate what hinders us. Nature is, in its essence, perfect. Our role should be to support and strengthen what naturally exists—enhancing soil health and ensuring that what we grow is both sufficient and nutritious for all. This perspective drives my passion for a food system that is not only effective, but also equitable and regenerative.
