Top 50 Farmers is an acceleration platform paving the way for regenerative agriculture to be scaled from soil to gut. We identify the farmers who are role modeling what the future of farming looks like and share their stories. We also connect them with industry executives and pioneering thought leaders to unlock new opportunities across the value chain.
Enrico Martani is the farm specialist of the Davines Group and Rodale Institute European Regenerative Organic Center (EROC) in Italy, where he works across research, education and practical demonstration of regenerative organic farming.
His work focuses on showing how biodiversity and regenerative practices can improve soil health, strengthen agroecosystems and support more resilient forms of agriculture.
Enrico holds a PhD in Agronomy from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and has authored or co-authored more than 15 scientific publications. Through EROC, he contributes to research and dissemination activities that make the benefits of regenerative organic management visible to farmers, researchers and wider audiences.
Alongside his scientific work, Enrico is also a fourth-generation farmer. Since 2011, he has managed his family farm’s poplar cultivations, bringing long-term farming experience into his work with regenerative agriculture.
