About

The European Regenerative Organic Center (EROC) is the first research, education, and dissemination center in partnership with the Rodale Institute led by a cosmetics company, the Davines Group. EROC is based in Parma, Italy and represents a unique ‘open air lab’ and a demonstration site for different stakeholders including farmers, private and public institutions. EROC exists to provide scientific evidence of the potential benefits that regenerative organic agriculture may have on soil health and plant nutritional quality.

How we support farmers

EROC promotes the agroecological transition by creating a network of regenerative organic farmers, which can provide organic active ingredients for the formulation of cosmetics products. Often the biomass provided by farmers is in the form of waste and residues from primary production. This is the point, the Davines Group, and the cosmetics industry in general, can promote additional markets and diversify the portfolio of farmers, which already produce food for the agrifood industry or fibers for the textile industry.
