Birgit Cameron is the Co-Founder and former CEO of Patagonia Provisions, founded in 2012 with Patagonia Founder Yvon Chouinard.
Under Birgit’s leadership, Patagonia Provisions became a recognized leader in the organic food movement and was named by Fast Company as one of The Most Innovative Companies of 2021 with their varied line of mission-based food and beverage products intended to address critical environmental issues while establishing a model to help restore the food chain.
Birgit produced Unbroken Ground, an award-winning documentary detailing the critical role food plays in solving the environmental crisis. She also produced the award-winning Ocean Solution, a short film documenting alternative paths for ocean recovery.
In 2018, Birgit was instrumental in the development and founding of the Regenerative Organic Alliance (ROA), an organic certification that includes optimizing soil health to sequester more carbon while valuing animals' and workers' welfare.
Birgit is currently a strategic advisor and consultant to innovative companies focused on a sustainable future for people and planet. She is General Partner with Aligne Capital, and is on the board of Atomo Beanless Coffee, Aarstiderne, The Marine Stewardship Council (2024), and Top 50 Farmers.
